Lighting Technical and Estimation Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated Lighting Estimator to join our dynamic team in UAE. This role is essential in ensuring the accurate estimation of lighting projects, which play a pivotal role in enhancing the functionality and aesthetics of various environments. As a Lighting Estimator, you will collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and clients to provide precise cost assessments that align with project specifications and budgets. Your expertise will help drive our projects to successful completion, ensuring that we maintain our reputation for excellence in the lighting industry.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluation of tender documents/enquires and preparation of a competitive bid within the project deadline.
• Comparison study between different manufacturers and optimal selection of material.
• Negotiation with suppliers on both technical and commercial aspects Value Engineering based on client/contractor budget constraint.
• Preparation of technical submittals for consultant/client review.
• Maintaining project log and filing as per ISO requirements.
• Technical support to the sales team. 
• Review customer RFQs, architectural and electrical drawings, lighting layouts, and fixture schedules to prepare accurate cost estimates and quotations.
• Identify and select suitable lighting fixtures from multiple brands based on project specifications, technical requirements, and budget.
• Propose approved alternative fixtures based on cost, availability, and lead-time requirements.
• Prepare technical submittals, product comparisons, and material proposals for consultants, architects, and clients.
• Coordinate with manufacturers and suppliers to obtain product pricing, discounts, technical datasheets, and delivery lead times.
• Handle multiple RFQs simultaneously and ensure timely submission of quotations.
• Review value engineering requirements and recommend cost-effective lighting solutions without compromising project specifications or design intent.
• Follow up on submitted quotations and coordinate with procurement and logistics teams for order handover.
