Server & Storage Engineer – TASC Outsourcing
About the Role:
We are seeking a seasoned Server & Storage Engineer to join our IT infrastructure team in Abu Dhabi. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain mission-critical server and storage solutions to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability across the enterprise environment.
Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and manage VMware virtualization infrastructure, including vSphere clusters and vCenter Server
Administer and optimize Dell EMC VxRail or equivalent hyper-converged infrastructure
Perform server management tasks on Windows and Linux platforms, including installation, configuration, patching, and troubleshooting
Implement and maintain SAN and NAS storage environments, including LUN provisioning, replication, and snapshot management
Monitor system performance, capacity planning, and perform tuning for servers and storage subsystems
Collaborate with network, backup, and security teams to integrate and secure infrastructure components
Develop and maintain documentation for architecture, procedures, and troubleshooting guides
Provide 3rd-level support for complex infrastructure incidents and participate in on-call rotation
Evaluate new storage and server technologies and recommend enhancements to improve reliability and efficiency
