Demand planner – Business Enhancers
Role Overview
We are seeking a Demand Planner to manage forecasting, inventory optimization, and purchase planning across a portfolio of international baby brands distributed across the UAE and GCC.
This role ensures product availability, healthy stock turns, and commercially aligned purchasing decisions within a fast-moving, SKU-dense category.
Key Responsibilities
Demand Forecasting
Develop and maintain rolling SKU-level forecasts across multiple brands.
Incorporate historical sales, seasonality, promotions, and market trends.
Align forecasts with sales teams, brand managers, and international principals.
Identify risks and opportunities impacting demand and supply.
Inventory Management
Maintain optimal stock levels across UAE and GCC warehouses.
Monitor aging, slow-moving, and excess inventory.
Define safety stock levels and replenishment quantities.
Ensure availability for key retail accounts and distributors.
Purchase Planning & OTB Management
Prepare purchase orders based on forecast, lead times, and budget.
Manage Open-to-Buy (OTB) planning to balance cash flow and inventory turns.
Track supplier shipments, ETAs, and potential delays.
Coordinate with logistics on inbound planning and customs timelines.
Market Intelligence & Pricing
Conduct regular GCC market surveys (online and offline) to monitor:
Pricing parity
Promotions
Competitor assortment
New product introductions
Support pricing strategy and margin protection initiatives.
Flag pricing discrepancies affecting brand positioning.
Category & Commercial Support
Stay updated on baby industry trends (feeding, gear, toys, textiles).
Support new product launches, phase-outs, and lifecycle planning.
Prepare sell-in and sell-out analysis for brand principals.
Contribute to budgeting and pricing decisions with demand data.
Reporting & Analytics
Prepare weekly and monthly demand planning dashboards.
Track forecast accuracy KPIs (MAPE, bias, fill rate).
Monitor inventory health and OTB utilization.
