Accountant – Brands

RESPONSIBILITES:

• Ensure all economic transactions and events are properly analyzed, processed, and recorded in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

JOB SPECIFICATION: Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in accountancy or equivalent qualification.

Preferred Qualifications

1. ACCA, CPA, or MBA is an added advantage. Minimum Relevant Work Experience
2. At least 2 years of progressive accounting experience.
3. Working knowledge of MS Office applications, internet research skills, and familiarity with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics NAV, SAP, or Oracle is an advantage.

Language

Fluency in English is required (written and speaking).

• Ensure that all transactions are properly initiated, authorized, processed, classified, recorded, and reported in line with IFRS and the company’s policies and procedures.
• Prepare operational reports on a regular basis to support management decision-making by monitoring key operating parameters and critical performance indicators.
• Perform month-end closing, including preparation of supporting schedules and reconciliation of trial balances
• Assess, design, implement, and maintain adequate internal control systems to ensure reliability of financial reporting, operational efficiency, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Ensure full compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Conduct financial and operational analysis, including cost behavior analysis, trend analysis, and financial modeling
• Ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial data generated from accounting systems.
• Maintain strong working relationships with colleagues and promote a cooperative and professional work environment.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the immediate superior.
