UAE signs fourth-phase deal to overhaul national airspace and boost capacity

The GCAA has kicked off Phase IV of the UAE Airspace Restructuring Project, a multi-agency plan to redesign routes and deploy next-generation traffic-management tools. Expected to raise capacity by around 20 %, the overhaul will shorten flight times, free up slots and accommodate future drone and air-taxi traffic—important gains for airlines, travel managers and logistics firms.
