Philippine Embassy warns UAE residents of Georgia’s new mandatory travel-insurance rule
From 1 January 2026, Georgia requires all tourists to show health and accident insurance worth at least 30,000 GEL. The Philippine Embassy in the UAE has urged Filipino and other UAE-based travellers to secure compliant cover before departure, warning that airlines may deny boarding and Georgian border officials can refuse entry. The rule affects a growing leisure and MICE market that relies on easy UAE-Georgia connectivity.
