Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Key Accountabilities)
- E2E accountability for defining the IOP and Scrap category and supplier strategy with stakeholders and cross-functional team to meet the procurement deliverables and cost savings targets.
- Understand supplier market dynamics/ intelligence to use as input to IOP and Scrap category strategies created.
- Work closely and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to develop executable sourcing strategies and implementation roadmaps.
- Drive supplier selection based on strategy and given KPI’s, build supplier base data and identify new/emerging suppliers.
- Ensure inter-departmental alignment and drive activities based on supply/demand changes. Own and drive regular business review meetings with suppliers while maintaining relationships. Obtain multiple source qualifications/ validations while putting category strategies in place.
- Factor Total Cost of Ownership should cost models and Value-in-use elements while building category strategies to manage entire value chain complexities.
- Lead contract and price negotiations with suppliers to maximize value for ESI (leveraging commercial, specification and demand levers) Secure T&Cs/contracting KPI’s in the best interest of ESI and based on best practices in the industry.
- Ensure performance according to contractual obligations and other commitments towards vendors. Focus on supplier resilience and sustainability. Ensure that category strategies promote economic development as per local requirements.
