We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Legal Manager to join our dynamic team in Sharjah, UAE. Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement legal strategies that align with the company’s business objectives, ensuring compliance with local and international laws while minimizing legal risks.
  2. Provide legal advice and support to various departments, including HR, finance, and operations, to facilitate informed decision-making and risk management.
  3. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements, ensuring that all terms are favorable and protect the company’s interests.
  4. Oversee litigation matters, working with external counsel to develop strategies that minimize exposure and achieve favorable outcomes.
  5. Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact the business, providing timely guidance to stakeholders.
  6. Manage and mentor a team of legal professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the legal department.
  7. Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on legal compliance and company policies, promoting a culture of awareness and accountability.
  8. Collaborate with senior management to identify and mitigate legal risks associated with new business initiatives and projects.
  9. Prepare and present legal reports to the board of directors, ensuring transparency and effective communication of legal matters affecting the organization.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent degree from an accredited law school is required (Masters degree is an advantage).
  2. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a corporate legal environment, with a focus on the insurance industry preferred.
  3. Strong understanding of local and international laws, particularly those related to insurance and financial regulations.
  4. Proven track record in managing legal teams and delivering successful outcomes in complex legal matters.
  5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically.
  6. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
  7. Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
