IT Technical Support – Al Raee Recruitment Services

Khawarizmi International College invites applications for the position of “IT Technical Support”. The position reports to the Head of IT Services, and joining date will be on 22nd June 2021.

The IT Technical Support will be responsible for diagnosing computer problems, monitoring computers processing systems, installing software and performing tests on computer equipment and programs. Technicians may also set up computer equipment, schedule maintenance and train employees on using specific software.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners
• Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
• Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
• Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone)
• Setting up new users’ accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues
• Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary
• Testing and evaluate new technology
• Communicating with staff or clients through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the phone, to help set up systems or resolve issues
• Troubleshooting system and networking problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
• Providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
• Following diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system
• Supporting the roll-out of new applications
• Responding within agreed time limits to call-outs within SLA
• Working continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate)
• Prioritizing and managing many open cases at one time
• Rapidly establishing a good working relationship with customers and other professionals, such as software developers
• Conducting electrical safety checks on computer equipment.
