IT Applications Manager

Responsible for providing measurable business value by utilizing and expanding the organization’s application portfolio.

OPERATIONAL:

  • Proactive business partner aiming for continuous improvement and taking the steps necessary to restructure, manage and effectively utilize the applications team, identify and address business requirements and develop and/or deploy efficient technical solutions.
  • Owner of the end-to-end project lifecycle of the organization’s business applications, including management of scope and business requirements, functional and technical specifications, testing, user application training (UAT), implementation, deployment and post go-live end-to-end efficient application support.
  • Change leader, responsible for transforming, restructuring, and enabling the applications team to a customer focused, innovative business partner. 
  • Manage ERP, Business Intelligence, HCM, Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) solutions, enhancements, integration, and support across the organization to ensure ultimate efficient operations.
  • Analyze performance of current applications and documented resolutions to enhance quality of service and proactively address future problems.
  • Manage relationships with project stakeholders (i.e., system users, company management, and consultants); keeping stakeholders informed and manage expectations on all project requirements and deliverables.
  • Work with senior and department leadership to identify and implement process improvements. Proactively and consistently, identify and manage project related issues, risks and mitigate scope changes, ensuring that all project objectives are attained.
  • Establish broad based technical direction related to applications development, change management, as well as other application related policies, procedures and functional areas. 
  • Develop operational and team performance objectives and create schedules and capacity plans, work plans and produce application guidelines that are consistent with company standards to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery. 
  • Develop, and provide monthly IT application metrics and KPIs and performance/status reports to ensure transparency to wider organization.

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:

  • Assist in the recruitment of team members.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of team members, provide guidance and constructive feedback to enhance the performance.
  • Train and develop team members.

Perform other duties assigned by the management related to the context of the role.
