🚨 We’re Hiring | Head of Compliance (Compliance Officer & MLRO)

📍 Location: Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), UAE

We are seeking an experienced Head of Compliance to lead the Compliance function and serve as the Compliance Officer & Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) for a leading international banking institution based in DIFC.

This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned compliance professional with strong expertise in AML/CTF, DFSA regulations, and regulatory governance within the UAE banking sector.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Lead and manage the Bank’s Compliance function, ensuring adherence to DFSA, CBUAE, DIFC, and applicable regulatory requirements.

✔ Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.

✔ Act as the designated Compliance Officer & MLRO, overseeing AML/CTF compliance and suspicious activity reporting.

✔ Liaise with regulatory authorities including DFSA, FIU, CBUAE, and DIFC Registrar.

✔ Monitor regulatory developments and ensure timely implementation of new requirements.

✔ Lead regulatory inspections, audits, compliance reviews, and remediation initiatives.

✔ Deliver compliance and AML training across the organization to promote a strong compliance culture.

✔ Advise senior management on regulatory risks and provide compliance support for new products and business initiatives.

Requirements:

✅ Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

✅ Minimum 5+ years of experience in a senior Compliance/MLRO role within the banking industry.

✅ Strong knowledge of DFSA, DIFC, UAE Banking Regulations, AML/CTF, Sanctions, and Financial Crime Compliance.

✅ International banking experience with exposure to treasury, trade finance, and corporate banking operations.

✅ Excellent stakeholder management, analytical, and communication skills.

✅ Experience working with regulators and managing regulatory inspections and audits.
