Position Overview
We need our engineers to be versatile, enthusiastic to work in highly flexible, team-oriented environment and who have exceptional communication, analytical and management skills. The team you will be joining is responsible for bridges and structures design on many of the most prestigious projects in Dubai and the Northern Emirates. These include: the iconic Infinity Bridge over Dubai Creek, and the rest of the Shindagha Corridor improvements; Route 2020 metro line; Sheikh Rashid bin Zayed Corridor; and the future upgrade of the E311 Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed road.
In this position you will plan and design structures and facilities such as bridges for both road and rail, irrigation projects, pipelines, tunnels, power plants and other projects. In addition, you may assist in field inspections and the preparation of inspection reports.
Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of engineering duties, primarily structural engineering, but may be developing in other sub-disciplines of Civil Engineering such as: geotechnical and/or coastal engineering.
- Responsible for the development of engineering computations and designs. Under close supervision in the utilization of engineering theories and practices, develops the creation of engineering products that meet customer quality requirements.
- Performs various engineering and design assignments requiring the application of basic principles and fundamental theories studied in a four-year university engineering program, and available data in the engineering field.
- Provides support for other engineering activities as required.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
