Description
Your responsibilities will include a variety of tasks as a Dermatology Nurse, General Assistant, and in marketing.
Dermatology Nurse:
- Derma clinic, instruments and machinery preparation.
- Ensure instruments/tools are cleaned according to sterilization room SOP’s;
- Checking expiration dates of materials;
- Count stock /check consumable inventory and place orders to supply chain under management;
- Assist in patient co-ordination with Advisor;
- Record patient treatment/history;
- Assist Dermatologist in preparation of patient /skin cleansing /numbing crème;
- Answer patient questions as well as explain the service or post-treatment / home care;
- Administering medication under doctor order;
- Provide chair-side assistance during treatments;
- Perform derma or laser skin treatments under the Dermatologist’s guidelines;
- Perform laser hair removal and firming /sculpting treatments.
General Assistance:
- Drawing blood samples for lab testing;
- Checking vital signs: temperature, respiratory rate, blood pressure and pulse rate and record;
- Give medication as per doctor’s order;
- Build a rapport with patients and refer to other modalities.
Marketing Role:
- Partake in marketing events / social media activities;
- Promote new weekly, and monthly promotions;
- Promote yourself by the treatment you can do;
- Cross referrals to other treatment departments in the clinic.
