Job Title:– Agronomist
Location – Dubai ( UAE )
Job Description –
- Directs and coordinates worker activities, such as seeding, bed preparation, planting, fertigation, chemical application, harvesting, grading, all cultural parameters and recordkeeping.
- Application and mixing of Fertilizers as per managers instructions. Follows the schedule of spraying, fertilizer, cultural operations, on the farm as per Manager’s instructions.
- Supervise and maintain quality for post-harvest handling and dispatch.
- Teaches and enforces cultural operations, pesticide spraying, and fertilizer mixing including safety regulations.
- Schedules and oversees repairs on green houses, farm machinery and equipment.
- Prepares PPC for sprays as per instructions of the Manager; supervises site spray applications & implement proper spray patterns with proper personal protective equipment.
- Worker’s health & hygiene, safety (uniforms, safety shoes, head gear, PPE) to be strictly adhered.
- Outdoor/avenue plants maintenance & to adhere litter free policy on the entire farm premises.
- All forms & necessary documents provided to be filled up on daily basis.
- Any requirements for fertilizers, pesticides, chemicals, seeds etc should be routed through the stores by filling in a requisition form.
- Inefficient workers to be reported to manager and action taken as per company policy.
- Only authorised personnel to handle specific jobs like electrical, plumbing, chemical handling, driving farm vehicles etc.
