We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Seamstress/Tailor to join our growing team. This position offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic, professional atelier environment, contributing to the creation of high-quality garments for local and international clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert tailoring services, including alterations, fittings, and repairs for a wide range of garments such as suits, dresses, skirts, trousers, shirts, outerwear, and casual pieces.
- Ensure that each garment is tailored to meet management’s specifications and client preferences while upholding the highest standards of craftsmanship.
- Handle delicate fabrics and intricate designs with precision and care, applying appropriate sewing and finishing techniques.
- Operate industrial and domestic sewing equipment safely and effectively to achieve professional results.
- Conduct fittings and consultations, offering professional recommendations on alterations, garment structure, and design improvements.
- Collaborate closely with pattern makers, designers, and production staff to ensure seamless coordination and consistency across all stages of garment creation.
- Inspect finished garments to verify accuracy, fit, and quality before final approval.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are properly cared for.
