The Cloud Security Engineer will be responsible for securing the organisation’s cloud-based environments and applications, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure. This role will monitor, detect, and respond to cyber threats, implement cloud security controls, and maintain compliance across multiple frameworks. Description
Manage and secure cloud infrastructure and services, primarily within Microsoft AzureConfigure, monitor, and optimise Azure-native security tools and related platformsPerform threat hunting, vulnerability scanning, and incident response within Azure environmentsManage alerts, tickets, and day-to-day operational security tasksSupport firewall and network security operations, including upcoming technology transitionsSupport in-house application and Azure application security – including patching, hardening, and periodic pen-testing (awareness required, not hands-on)Maintain and update security documentation, dashboards, and monthly metrics reportsParticipate in business continuity and disaster recovery planningStay updated on evolving cloud threats and advise on preventive measuresCollaborate closely with the global IT and cybersecurity teams
Profile
4+ years’ experience in cybersecurity or cloud security within a corporate environmentStrong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure security and monitoring toolsFamiliarity with email security, threat monitoring, and detection platformsExposure to next-generation firewall systems preferredWorking knowledge of network security, endpoint protection, and identity managementExperience supporting or preparing for compliance standards such as ISO 27001, NIST 800-171, or GDPRStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset
