Overview Of The Role:

The Sales Assistant at Toys R Us plays a critical role in driving store sales and delivering excellent customer service in a retail environment. This position involves ensuring the store is clean and well-presented, greeting and assisting customers promptly, and executing various operational tasks as directed by the store management team. Success in this role involves creating a welcoming atmosphere, providing customers with essential product information, and maintaining high standards of service throughout the shopping experience.

What You Will Do:

Customer Service

Greet customers immediately upon entering the store with a smile and friendly greeting.
Provide customers with current relevant information about products.
Thank all customers sincerely for shopping as they exit the store and invite them back.
Provide quality service in the fitting rooms, follow up with customers in a timely manner, and attempt to add on to the sale.

Sales and Cash Management

Provide efficient service at the cash wrap, offer gift cards, and capture customer information in the database.
Maintain cash wrap cleanliness.
Contribute to sales generation by ensuring a positive shopping experience.

Store Maintenance and Presentation

Create a sparkling clean and organized environment by maintaining store standards and cleanliness.
Adhere to visual presentation standards as directed by the store management team.
